Editing: Putting the Scenes together

Finally, the filming is officially completed. So on to the next step: editing. I needed to find a better editing software than the one my group and I used last time was difficult to function. So my groupmates and I researched different video editors that all of us will be able to utilize. I tried looking for free online software to edit with and came across a few promising ones. One of my groupmates found one as well and my group and I decided on the video editor called Kapwing. Looking through it, I noticed that there was a functioning share feature that allowed my groupmate to send the project through email and provide editing access.

I noticed that I have to open the project directly from my email due to having to pay on the site itself, but I was able to access it. Looking at it, one of my groupmates already started editing, and I decided to add more to it. I made sure to find and separate all the scenes that will be used and left out the bloopers. I had to cut some parts of the scenes because the timing was slightly off. There was background music added as well. The music sounded very ominous and gave off the feeling that would make the audience watch for more.

Then, I searched for more royalty-free music that the site provided. I was able to find several different audios that could potentially work with the theme. Since we also need dialogue, I explored the site more to see what I could work with. Fortunately, I found a feature under the "Record" tab. There were four different options under this tab, one of them being "record audio from computer microphone."

Since the majority of my time was taken up by the hunt for video editors, I decided to pause here. This will also allow for a more fresh mind when I continue editing again on a new day. Hopefully, this turns out well.
