Planning: Title Design
In the first scene where it dives right into the running scene, the center of the screen will display the studio name: “Pink Studio Presents…”
When it cuts to black, it will display the production company: “TMK Corp.”
The actor names will follow in transitions that make it seem rushed to fit the dramatic setting. The actors working in this opening sequence include Kennedy Newsome, Madelyn Cannon, and Tasmia Kowcher.
Then, when the first set appears in the library, the title of the movie will appear. Our working title at the moment is Lost Causes.
After all the major titles, the font will start to appear on screen slower as it starts introducing further information such as music. The music will be from samples and/or our group members will make custom music through the use of a digital audio workstation as they have experience in making music.
The title for editors will pop up on one of the computers that are occupied at the library (if available), displaying the names ‘Madelyn Cannon, Kennedy Newsome, and Tasmia Kowcher’.
Then the title for the producer will appear in the next scene in the woods showing “Produced by Madelyn Cannon.”
As that fades out, the title for who came up with the story idea will say “Story by Tasmia Kowcher.”
After the story title, it will fade out and then transition to the title for the writer, showing “Written by Kennedy Newsome.”
For the last of the titles, the name of the director will be displayed, and since it’s the last one, it will have a bigger font size showing “Directed by Tasmia V. Cannon.”
The duration of the screen showing the working title will most likely last for about five seconds before fading out. The rest of the titles will be displayed on the screen for two-five seconds. The font we will be using is Centeria Script for the title of the film and ribbon-condensed for the rest of the titles.
