Our Pitch

Pitch one: Three people find an object each with their names on it, guiding them to their fate and newfound powers.  Pitch two: A worker opens an email ruining their day and potentially their life.  Pitch one reason: This idea interests us because the concept would be detailed and enjoyable to do. Fantasy is a genre that excites all of us and being incorporated into a story of our own would be interesting. It's also an interesting film because Tasmia wrote a short story about it. We would just have to change some of the powers for editing purposes. However, it would be timely, and editing the powers to look realistic may be difficult for us. Pitch two reason:  This idea interests us, because of the open possibilities. Mystery, Suspense, and origin stories are some of our favorite topics to discuss. It would also be interesting to film because we came up with this idea by joking that Madelyn looked like a villain. So, if we were to actually make this it would be hilarious....

Planning: Script

Scene 1 Zoom in Running Feet. Zoom. Panting  Huffing.  Mysterious and or suspenseful music. Scene 2 Cuts to black Scene 3 Non-diegetic sound⁚ Mysterious and or suspenseful music. Words  appear (Lost Causes) Upbeat, dramatic music non-diegetic.  Scene 4: [At library] Over the shoulder shot. Sees a glowing [insert object here because we don’t know what to use] in the bookshelf.  Glowing object whispers as she gets closer. The girl picks it up. “Woah…” Scene 5  Zoom in Running Feet. Zoom. Panting  Huffing.  Scene 6 Cut the scene and transition from the books and shows a girl lost in the woods M Huffs and looks around  Footsteps crunch on leaves, as the feet move. Planning: Other Information

Location: Oakland Park Library Participants: Madelyn, Kennedy, Tasmia  Schedule: Available to Film March 18th to  March 28th  02/18/22: We did the necessary research for our movie  02/23/22: We wrote the script 02/24/22: We will have the planning done in regard to props, costumes, scheduling, location list, and backup plans. 02/25/22: We planned our title design  03/4/22: The storyboard needed for this movie will be done to make sure it lasts  3/18/22 to 3/28/22: we will film the movie.   On 3/29/22 we will begin to edit the movie  Back-Up Plan: In case the library isn’t available for filming, we decided to film at Madelyn’s House as our backup plan. Health and safety: Since there will be a lot of running in the movie. We will make sure there is a first aid kit on site.
